Rattlesnake Sunroom

The clients for this home were looking for a better use for their covered porch located off the side of the home.  Other needs included an art studio and additional reading space. The solution was to turn the existing unconditioned covered porch into an enclosed conditioned sunroom. To help manage the budget and reduce material waste, the existing deck structure was retrofitted, insulated, and non-load bearing walls were constructed between the existing porch roof structure. Large windows were placed on all three sides of the room to still allow the light and expansive views of the Rattlesnake wilderness to flood the room.
